Cubic Trigger is a complete wireless shutter remote solution for your camera. There are two parts to this gadget - Bluetooth shutter remote and free smartphone apps.

Cubic Trigger can be used as an independent shutter control by simply connecting it to the camera and manually pressing the top button to take photos without causing the camera to wobble.

Moving up to the next level, Cubic Trigger can also be operated wirelessly through our custom designed app. Connecting the unit to your phone through Bluetooth, you can then find the 7 carefully calibrated scene modes.These include basic, time lapse, dodge-and-burn, schedule, star trail, and sound trigger.

And for shutterbugs who also have the travel bug, the Cubic Trigger app comes with Geotagging capabilities so you never forget where a photo was taken (note: the Geotagging function is only available for Nikon cameras).

Bluetooth 4.0 has a range of 25m (85ft) when used in an open environment. Now you can put yourself in your photos without having to set a timer, use a selfie stick, or ask a stranger who, let’s be honest, likely has no idea how to operate your camera. And when taking photos of something else, you now aren’t tied to your camera but instead can move around freely to better control your subject.

Cubic Trigger can act as a stand-alone wired shutter trigger. The button has a 2-stage action to first focus, then take the photo. We have also taken the texture of the button into consideration, making sure it feels as good, or better, than the shutter button on your camera.

An accessory is not useful if it takes its own bag just to carry, so we shrunk it down to a dimension of 53.6 x 31.2 x 13.6mm -- even smaller than the average car key or garage remote! Just slip it into your camera bag or pocket and away you go. And comparing Cubic Trigger to traditional electric camera triggers, it weighs in at a mere 14g without its battery.

Cubic Trigger can be affixed to the camera using a standard shoe mount or, for those that like to hang loose, the mount can be removed to allow the device to be operated at any angle. After much trial and error, we found the perfect material that is flexible yet holds snugly on to Cubic Trigger.

Bluetooth 4.0 technology’s economic use of power means that under normal use conditions, Cubic Trigger can continue to communicate with the app for more than half a year before the battery runs out. And once that happens, if you have opted for the CR2032 single-use coin battery, all you need to do is buy a new one. Cubic Trigger is also compatible with rechargeable LR2032 batteries.

Cubic Trigger connects the camera by a interchangeable cable. Simply replace the cable, and it is ready for different camera(s). Currently the cable is available for Canon, Nikon, and Sony. We're planning to make cable for other brands in near future.

One of the guiding principles when designing our app was to allow the photographer the freedom to focus on the subject instead of operating his or her phone. To this end, we made the function as natural as possible with a simple press, drag, and release action.
